The start date is nearly with me. I'm not sure whether I am over prepared in the sense that I have got all my stuff ready and there's virtually nothing left to do. The only issue I have is rather ludicrous because my brother, David, looked through my kit and suggested that instead of a hand towel I could cut back on weight by substituting It with two face flannels. He went on to explain a system of using one flannel for getting most of he water off and constantly wringing it out and then using the second flannel for the final dry off. I sounds just about feasible but I'm not sure how I'm going to dry my back with a flannel!! Anyway, I'll give it a go.
I'm still doing a bit of riding and he weather has perked up a bit despite a cool breeze. I look forward to a few more easy..ish rides before I go. I don't want to be worn out before I start, or even worse, pick up an injury. Anyway, I can't wait to get going.

Shame about the weather forecast! Currently looks like decent temperatures but also a lot of rain. Hope that the forecast either improves or is just wrong.
