A Venezia con la mia famiglia.
Rebekah and John's plane landed at 10.30pm. We had an interesting bus journey back to the apartment because I didn't know the bus took a circular route and so we went across to Venice island and had to stay on the bus till it came back to our area. It was more difficult because it was dark and I struggled to work out where we were. It worked out in the end.
Despite the time I had prepared some meatballs and pasta which we scoffed before bed.
I don't intend to do the blog everyday whilst at Venice but will give a summary at the end. I'm only really writing this so that you know R & J did get here safely and surprising still recognised me at the airport despite not having seen me for over two months and my new haircut!
Just my luck, today there is a public transport strike day in Italy, so we will struggle to get into Venice but I believe the trains are running but could be very very busy!
